Superman, birth name Kal-El and adopted name Clark Kent, was one of the most popular heroes on Earth and was a founding member of the Justice League.
The last son of Krypton, Kal-El was sent to Earth as an infant while their planet was in its death throes. Found and raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent, young Kal had a strong sense of right and wrong instilled in him from a young age. Superman's morality would earn him the nickname "boy scout" in Batman's eyes. Later, during crises faced with the Justice League, a comprise of his vaunted moralty would lose him the respect of one of his greatest fans, Captain Marvel.
