The Energy disruptor, also called a Power Disruptor was a weapon invented by Lex Luthor that had the ability to deprive beings of their powers.

History Edit

This device seemingly worked on any kind of super-powered being; no matter if they were born with their abilities (and thus them being a part of their biology), or if something else was the main cause such as the Green Lantern's power ring. It's first and only use, was when Superman struck a bargain with Lex to use it on the Justice Lords in return for being set free and granted a pardon for his criminal actions. He single-handedly brought down the entire Justice Lords with the weapon (except their Batman who was not present; although it is doubtful the weapon would have worked on him). After they were defeated and weakened, Luthor was tempted to use the weapon on the League's Superman, but instead, he honored their earlier agreement and handed the weapon over to Superman and the League as he went free.
