- McKellar is probably best known for her role in her youth as Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years. After the show ended, McKellar graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in mathematics, and even proved a new math theorem, the Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem.
- She is also the author of the books "Math Doesn't Suck: How To Survive Middle School Math Without Losing Your Mind Or Breaking A Nail", "Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who's Boss", "Girls Gets Curves: Geometry Takes Shape", "Hot X: Algebra Exposed" and the children's book "Goodnight, Numbers".
- Her fellow Wonder Years co-stars Fred Savage and Jason Hervey joined the DCAU roster for Justice League Unlimited, "Hawk and Dove," while their "father", Dan Lauria, appeared in Batman Beyond and also in Static Shock.
