Hendrickson was a member of the Blackhawks.
Corpulent Hendrickson was a Dutchman. Facing Axis occupation, he fled and joined the Blackhawks. He helped in the evacuation of the Normandy beaches after the failed allied invasion, and joined in a successful bombing raid on a nearby weapons factory. He passed away of natural causes some time after the war, but was remembered as one of the greatest Blackhawks.
There have been two Hendricksons in the history of Blackhawk publications. The Golden Age version was Hans Hendrickson, while the second, created in 1987, was named Ritter Hendrickson. Both were Dutch, older than the other Blackhawks, and both "spoke" with a horrible accent.
