Jones is known to a whole generation as Principal Ed Rooney in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and has also worked in several films by Tim Burton, including Beetlejuice and Sleepy Hollow. More recently, he has a recurring role as A.W. Merrick on the HBO series Deadwood.
