Krypton was the home planet of the Kryptonians, prior to its destruction.

It orbited a red star named Rao, and was the sister planet of Argo. Krypton's climate was shown to have both temperate and Arctic conditions. The planet was destroyed due to a massive geological disaster that could have been prevented or circumvented had Brainiac, the planet's supercomputer, warned the citizens.

The capital city of Krypton was Kandor. Other locales included Argo City and the Gold Volcano.
