Kryptonite poisoning was a form of radiation poisoning in humans resulting from prolonged exposure to Kryptonite that results in a cancer.
Every owner of the Laughing Dragon died from this condition; however, their identities remain unknown. Lex Luthor was the only known human to be afflicted with this condition and had to wear a special suit to hold it at bay. Unknown to him, Brainiac, who was inside him, cured him of his cancer.
