The Mother Box was a small computer used by the New Gods of both Apokolips and New Genesis. Sentient and connected to the Source, the device was capable of opening boom tubes for interplanetary transportation.

Background information Edit

In the DC Comics, the Mother Box was the creation of Himon, a scientist from Apokolips who opposed Darkseid's rule and distributed the Mother Boxes after peace was achieved. Mother Boxes are sentient computers with powers and properties not fully understood, who have a strong connection with their owners, and will self-destruct if their owner is killed. Additionally, Orion required a Mother Box to help him maintain control over his inner rage.
