"No, I'm Batgirl!" (full title "No, I'm Batgirl!!!") is the twenty-ninth episode of Gotham Girls. It first aired on October 22nd, 2002. Detective Montoya is arguing with Commissioner Gordon when the call comes in that Batgirl has been spotted on the North Side. As they head off, Batgirl is sighted on the West Side. Then the South Side. Each of these "Batgirls" is unmasked, revealing them to be Harley, Ivy and Catwoman. Under cover of this diversion, Barbara Gordon slips into the unmanned Police Headquarters and steals the key to the Dangerous Evidence Vault from her father's drawer. As she slips the key into the Vault, someone else caught Barbara by surprise.

Plot[]

Renee and Jim argue

Enraged, Renee Montoya slams her fist on Commissioner Gordon's desk.

At Gotham Police Department, a legion of squad cars are congregated in front of the building. In Commissioner Gordon's office, Detective Renee Montoya implores her superior to get the rogue cops in line. However, Gordon stands behind his men's actions, excusing the excessive force as a requirement when dealing with dangerous criminals. Renee tries to explain that capturing Catwoman was the last thing on the cops' minds, but Gordon refuses to let up, telling her that doubting his officers for as long as he has is the reason the city is as messed up as it is. Just then, Dora pops her head into the office to report Batgirl has been spotted on the North Side.

Batgirl (Poison Ivy) surrounded

The Gotham Police Department moves in on Batgirl, not realizing she's Poison Ivy in disguise.

On the North side, Batgirl stands on top of the hood of a police car, elevated by a giant magnet. Blowing a raspberry, she jumps down, looks at the clock around her neck, and surrenders to the police on the ground. As Renee Montoya and James Gordon make their way there, Renee recieves another call from a patrol squad that alleges they have Batgirl surrounded at the Gotham Park greenhouse. Grabbing the phone, Gordon demands a squad be deployed there as well. Again, Renee gets a call that Batgirl is now at the South Side piers.

Catwoman unmasked

Commissioner Gordon unmasks Batgirl, but is surprised to find Catwoman underneath.

On the scene at the piers, Gordon approaches Batgirl, telling her that her costume won't protect her from justice. Pulling off the vigilante's mask, the commissioner is astounded to find Catwoman underneath. Again, Renee's phone rings. The South Side squad lets Jim on the news that they had gotten Poison Ivy, and the North Side patrol had apprehended Harley Quinn.

Harley escapes the Police

Harley Quinn uses false arms to escape the Gotham Police Department.

As the clock begins to strike eleven, Gordon tells Catwoman that the games are over. Unbeknownst to him, however, Harley Quinn has escaped, quickly followed by Poison Ivy. As he takes the call reporting the blunder, Gordon demands his men grab Catwoman, but she escapes by jumping into the water. Turning to Renee, the commissioner begins to berate her for her concern over the women's safety. She responds, noting it was an obvious set up, leaving Gordon to wonder what Batgirl is really up to.

Barbara in Gordon's office

Barbara Gordon snoops through Commissioner Gordon's office.

Back at Gotham Police Department, Barbara Gordon checks her watch before sneaking into the mostly empty police headquarters. Returning to her father's office equipped with the knowledge of his secret drawer, Barbara takes the commissioner's pocket watch and keycard, then heads to the Special Crimes Dangerous Evidence Vault. Before she's able to place the keycard in the door, a woman's voice behind her shouts, "Freeze!"
