The Batman is an animated series that follows the adventures of a young Batman in his early days fighting crime in Gotham City. A direct-to-DVD movie, The Batman vs. Dracula, was created from the show.
The Batman has distanced itself from the DCAU by explicitly showing different origins for characters and different voice actors. Many of the characters used on The Batman were not allowed to be used on Justice League Unlimited or Teen Titans. See also: Bat-Embargo
