Wind Dragon served as the leader and spokesperson of the Ultimen, giving speeches that made even Superman groan. When it was revealed they where clones he and the rest of the Ultimen decided to take down the League. Wind Dragon almost killed Superman but was talked down by Long Shadow. Wind Dragon was taken away with the rest of the Ultimen. Many clones of him were made, and they were led by Galatea to take odwn the Watchtower.

Wind Dragon as well as the rest of the Ultimen are based on characters from the SuperFriends series. These characters were meant to add racial diversity to the team but are ironically regarded as racial stereotypes today. Wind Dragon is an update of the Japanese hero Samurai.
